B.B. Birdy along with Birdy Vangogh Art Work Studios would like to take this time to thank you for participating in The FUNNY CLUB SHOW. The FUNNY CLUB SHOW is a unique opportunity for both established and emerging international fine artists and designers to collaborate with renowned artist and toy designer, B.B. Birdy. 70 to 100 top artists and designers have been invited and hand selected from Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Europe and the US to participate based on their unique style and original vision to be part of this traveling exhibition.

Since galleries, publications and toy events all over the United States and Asia have shown such great enthusiasmand support for The FUNNY CLUB SHOW, B.B. Birdy has decided to move forward and publish a catalogue based on the show. This book will archive the show and focus on every participating artist or studio customized FUNNY CLUB SHOW figure. You are open to alter your "Blank Canvas" in any way you see fit, including submitting completely 'original' hand made Funny Club figures without the appropriation of Birdy's figure as long as it captures the 'essence' of the FUNNY CLUB figure. Along with showcasing your "original design," Birdy will include contact and source information for every invited participating artist. In many ways this project will be the first "ource book" specifically dedicated to artists and designers; focused on the
international toy market. The entire project will be funded by Birdy including the photographing, design and formatting of the book. Currently the catalogue has a release date of next year (TBA). Every invited artist will receive one (1) free copy of the book (including shipping). This book will retail in both Taiwan and the US.

By now all of you should have received your "blank-canvas" Funny Club figure and probably are well on your way to conceptualizing, designing, and customizing your piece. If you have not received your Funny Club Figure by now please contact : Funny Club Representative Tony Shiau "Nakanari" (nakanari@aol.com). When sending back your figure, you may include any promotional item (i.e. self promotional-postcards, your business Cards, Giveaways, etc.) with your Funny Club figure, but please keep in mind that this is a traveling 'display' exhibition. All original hand made figures will be not for sale, and will be returned after it has completed it's travels. All the figures will be posted on a website that Birdy Vangogh Art Work Studios will design and post during the exhibition. This web information will be e-mailed as another Press Release in the near future. Arriving within the next few weeks will be a "elease form" which you will need to sign and either FAX or physically mail to the address given. This informational sheet will include the guidelines for participating in the book project along with instructions and guidelines about the submission process. The deadline for shipping back your figure and sending in your release form is December 1st, 2004. If we do not receive a majority of the artist work (along with, if it applies, their PR material) and or release forms by this date, the book project will unfortunately be terminated.

The FUNNY CLUB Show will kick off its exhibition at the *16th Annual FX Show in Orlando, FL. Twenty artists along with their customized figures will be hand selected to represent The FUNNY CLUB SHOW and will be publicly displayed for the first time. The Show begins January 28 and runs through January 30 (Jan. 28-30, 2005.) To celebrate FUNNY CLUB inaugural event, we will be releasing an exclusive figure just for the FX show (Figure will be announced next month with new image.)

Next event up on the list will be Chicago renowned *Rotofugi Design Toys Gallery. This opening reception will be on March 4th and will continue for one month (March 4th - April 3rd, 2005). From Chicago it will continue on to *Munky King, in Los Angeles, CA. This show will open on May 7th and will as well run for 1 month (show closes on June 5th, 2005.) The next locations for this traveling exhibition will include the *2005 Taipei Toy Festival in Taiwan.
